The placement of educational institutions in residential areas has long been a matter of debate. This approach has some benefits, however there are also some serious repercussions to take into consideration. Both the benefits and drawbacks of placing learning centres in suburbs in the subsequent paragraphs.

Accessibility is one of the apparent benefits of this trend. In other words, it is convenient for students to access educational establishments when they are located in localities, which also cuts down on the time and expense of commuting. Ultimately, this promotes a more educated society by encouraging more students to participate in educational programs. Secondly, it also fosters a sense of community. To substantiate, schools in residential areas frequently turn into hubs for neighbourhood activities such as workshops, and cultural gatherings, resulting in closer ties and a more peaceful social environment.

Nonetheless, drawbacks to take into account. Primarily, having educational facilities nearby may result in more traffic and noise in residential areas, disrupting the desired peace especially when there are exams. The potential effect on property values constitutes the second disadvantage. To explain, even though it can be convenient to have educational institutions close by, this can also lead to higher housing costs, making it more difficult for lower-income families to afford to live in such areas.

In conclusion, placing educational academies in the close vicinity of homes has benefits for community development and accessibility. Whereas, there are drawbacks as well, including increased traffic and noise as well as potential gentrification.
